Heartland Mutual Insurance has an excellent opportunity in our Business Development & Marketing Department for a Marketing & Communications Analyst.
Marketing & Communications Analyst – Waterloo, Ontario
What will you do…
- Act as a project manager by overseeing marketing and communication responsibilities.
- Lead external communication. This includes working across functions gathering business content, drafting bulletins and other articles, and distributing communications as required. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on marketing programs that support brand strategy.
- Develop and manage multi-format content for emails, articles, presentations, and social media posts, ensuring accuracy and relevance for target audiences.
- Review and proof marketing and communications content, ensure brand standards are met.
- Develop and evolve corporate branding on an ongoing basis.
- Manage and oversee annual corporate social responsibility campaign (iHeart).
- Provide support where required for internal and external events, including trade shows, recruitment events, industry events, etc.
- Maintain the corporate website, including creation of new content, editing existing content, and managing relationships with third-party website vendors.
- Monitor social media accounts and respond to posts as required.
What you will bring….
- 3-5 years of experience in strategic communications, B2B marketing, and internal/external communications, preferably within the P&C insurance or financial services industry.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management.
- Post-secondary education in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism or related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills across formats with a focus on clarity, brand alignment, and engagement.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines, adapt in a fast-paced environment, and work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience tailoring content for a diverse range of audiences, channels and platforms.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and team-player.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint Online, Teams, Copilot) and digital collaboration tools.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (including Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
- Proven ability to plan and deliver multichannel campaigns, including social media management, email marketing and content strategy.
- A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling, innovation, and continuous learning.
